Betting on Manchester City
City are usually among the favourites, so compare the price on the draw as well as the win. Say a bookmaker offers 1.55 on a City home win, 4.40 on the draw and 5.75 on the away win. Those prices imply chances of 64.5%, 22.7% and 17.4%, which total 104.6%, so the margin is 4.6%. A €10 bet on the draw at 4.40 returns €44.00, a €34.00 profit. The prices are illustrative, not a quote. Our guide to how betting odds work walks through the sums.
Before you bet on a Manchester City match, check for team news, because line-ups are announced about an hour before kick-off and prices often move.
