Betting on Drogheda United
Home advantage can be priced tightly in the Louth derby and against the bigger clubs, so the draw price is worth understanding. Say a bookmaker offers 3.20 on a Drogheda home win, 3.20 on the draw and 2.25 on the away win. Those prices imply chances of 31.2%, 31.2% and 44.4%, which total 106.9%, so the margin is 6.9%. A €10 bet on the draw at 3.20 returns €32.00, a €22.00 profit. The prices are illustrative, not a quote. Our guide to how betting odds work walks through the sums.
