Where do Manchester City play?

Manchester City play at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester. Wikipedia gives the capacity as 61,038 after the North Stand expansion, while API-Football still lists the older 55,097, so treat any single figure as approximate.

The ground was known as the City of Manchester Stadium until 2011. The club moved there at the end of 2002–03 after playing at Maine Road from 1923, and holds a 200-year lease from Manchester City Council. A third tier on the South Stand took capacity to 55,097 in 2015–16, and the North Stand expansion, named after Pep Guardiola, opened for the final game of 2025–26.

The record home attendance of 84,569 was set at Maine Road against Stoke City in 1934. Tickets are sold through the club’s official site.

Betting on Manchester City

City are usually among the favourites, so compare the price on the draw as well as the win. Say a bookmaker offers 1.55 on a City home win, 4.40 on the draw and 5.75 on the away win. Those prices imply chances of 64.5%, 22.7% and 17.4%, which total 104.6%, so the margin is 4.6%. A €10 bet on the draw at 4.40 returns €44.00, a €34.00 profit. The prices are illustrative, not a quote. Our guide to how betting odds work walks through the sums.

Before you bet on a Manchester City match, check for team news, because line-ups are announced about an hour before kick-off and prices often move. Our bet types guide explains markets such as draw no bet and both teams to score, and the free bets guide explains why offers rarely pay what the headline suggests.
