Betting on Sunderland
Sunderland have been strong at home, so check the draw price too. Say a bookmaker offers 2.60 on a Sunderland home win, 3.30 on the draw and 2.85 on the away win. Those prices imply chances of 38.5%, 30.3% and 35.1%, which total 103.9%, so the margin is 3.9%. A €10 bet on the draw at 3.30 returns €33.00, a €23.00 profit. The prices are illustrative, not a quote. Our guide to how betting odds work walks through the sums.
Before you bet on a Sunderland match, check for team news, because line-ups are announced about an hour before kick-off and prices often move.
