Betting on Crystal Palace
A new manager can make early prices unreliable, so compare carefully. Say a bookmaker offers 2.70 on a Palace home win, 3.30 on the draw and 2.75 on the away win. Those prices imply chances of 37.0%, 30.3% and 36.4%, which total 103.7%, so the margin is 3.7%. A €10 bet on the draw at 3.30 returns €33.00, a €23.00 profit. The prices are illustrative, not a quote. Our guide to how betting odds work walks through the sums.
Before you bet on a Crystal Palace match, check for team news, because line-ups are announced about an hour before kick-off and prices often move. Our bet types guide explains markets such as draw no bet and both teams to score, and the free bets guide explains why offers rarely pay what the headline suggests.
