Betting on Galway United
Galway have drawn a lot this season, so the draw market is worth understanding. Say a bookmaker offers 2.50 on a Galway home win, 3.20 on the draw and 2.90 on the away win. Those prices imply chances of 40.0%, 31.2% and 34.5%, which total 105.7%, so the margin is 5.7%. A €10 bet on the draw at 3.20 returns €32.00, a €22.00 profit. The prices are illustrative, not a quote. Our guide to how betting odds work walks through the sums.
Before you bet on a Galway United match, check for team news, because line-ups are announced about an hour before kick-off and prices often move. Our bet types guide explains markets such as draw no bet and both teams to score, and the free bets guide explains why offers rarely pay what the headline suggests.
